Rubber Tack Strips

I got in a few hours on “Stinky” today. Current work involves the tedious removal of the rubber tack strips from the interior. I began with the RH rear door for no particular reason. I tried drilling out thetacks when I couldn’t get pliers under them, but that wasn’t particularly successful. I ended up usinga dremel to cut the heads off and then pull them out. It is a very slow process. I have numbered each piece of tack strip and developed a legend so that when I replace the strips with new material Iwill have the old pieces as models for proper dimensions.

There were seven pieces of tack strip on the RH rear door.

Then I moved to the RH front door and began by removing the rubber door seals on the outside of the door/body.
